From the 2-minute setup to how the date engine counts business days — this page is the full reference.
Add Arrivio from the Shopify App Store. It asks for read-only access to your shipping settings — that's how the 2-minute setup knows your zones. No product or customer data is touched.
Arrivio reads your shipping zones and proposes a delivery profile per zone, with sensible transit times for each region. Adjust the numbers, set your cutoff time and dispatch days, and click Create.
Open the theme editor (Online Store → Themes → Customize), select the Product template, and add the “Arrivio delivery date” block — right under the price works best. Done: dates are live.
Every profile feeds six inputs into the engine. The result is pre-computed on our servers for the next 60 days and stored in Shopify — your storefront just reads it.
How many business days you need before the parcel leaves — counted only on your dispatch days, skipping holidays.
How long the carrier takes. Count it in calendar days (most carriers quote this) or business days — your choice per profile.
Orders placed after this hour (in your store's timezone) start counting from the next business day. The optional countdown line shows shoppers how long they have left.
Pick which weekdays you ship. Orders landing on other days roll forward automatically — a Saturday order counts from Monday.
Turn on a built-in holiday calendar for your dispatch country (Pro) and add any custom closed dates. Promised dates never land on a day you can't ship.
Optionally push the promised window forward so it never ends on a Sunday — useful where carriers don't deliver on weekends.
One clean line: “Order today, get it Sep 1–3” or “Estimated delivery: Sep 1 – 3”. Optional “Ships by” second line (Pro).
The estimate plus a live “Order within 2h 13m” line that counts down to your real cutoff and disappears honestly after it passes.
Ordered → Shipped → Delivered as a visual journey with dates under each step — the premium look for higher-value products.
All widgets share the same engine and the same live preview in the profile editor — with day, time and language simulators, so you can check exactly what a shopper will see next Tuesday at 15:40.
A delivery profile bundles the engine settings with targeting: which countries it applies to and which products it covers. Profiles are checked top to bottom — the first one matching the shopper's country and the product wins. Drag priorities on the dashboard with the arrow buttons.
Targeting supports include rules (only these collections or tags) and exclude rules (everything except gift cards, digital goods, made-to-order items…). Exclude wins over include. Country targeting and include/exclude rules are Pro features; the free plan publishes your first active profile everywhere.
Built-in public holiday calendars cover 25 countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Poland, Czechia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan. Every calendar is generated algorithmically (including Easter-based holidays) and refreshed with the daily schedule — plus you can add any custom closed dates per profile.
Wording and month names follow each shopper's storefront language automatically. Month abbreviations are generated with the same locale engine browsers use — so a German shopper reads “5.–8. Sep.” and a Japanese one “9月5日”. You can override any text per language in the editor.
The free plan includes one delivery profile shown everywhere, the delivery estimate widget, cutoff and dispatch-day logic, all 30 languages and unlimited views — nothing is rationed and there is no watermark.
Pro ($9.99/month or $59.99/year — two months free) adds per-country dates from your shipping zones, unlimited profiles with include/exclude rules, the cutoff countdown, the delivery timeline visual, public-holiday calendars, the “Ships by” line and weekly stats. Both plans start with a 7-day free trial of Pro.
Check that you added the “Arrivio delivery date” block in the theme editor's Product template and clicked Save there. The block renders only when at least one profile is active and published — open the app dashboard and check the profile toggle.
Open the profile and use the live preview's day and time sliders — they run the exact same engine as your storefront. Most surprises are the cutoff (orders after it count from the next business day) or a weekend/holiday roll-forward.
Per-country profiles are a Pro feature; on the free plan the first active profile shows everywhere. On Pro, make sure a profile's country list covers that market — profiles are matched top to bottom, first match wins.
The widget follows the storefront language Shopify reports. If your theme runs a third-party translator (not Shopify's native languages), the storefront still reports the base language — switch to Shopify translated languages for full support.
Every save republishes instantly; storefront page caches can hold the previous HTML for a few minutes. It refreshes on its own — no action needed.
